Turkey Meat Muffins for Dogs

Recipe
550 grams Ground Turkey, 7% fat, raw weight
100 grams Brussels sprouts, raw weight, shredded/pulverized
100 grams Butternut Squash, cooked/mashed- cooked weight
1 egg, large, raw
** ¾ tsp + 1/8 tsp Calcium Carbonate
Mix all ingredients, including the calcium and bake in muffin tins (use mini muffin trays for smaller dogs or if feeding as treats to larger dogs).
Bake at 350 degrees for ~ 22 minutes or when cooked through.

**these meat muffins are not a balanced diet, but by including calcium carbonate, you can feed these without upsetting the calcium/phosphorus ratio of your balanced base diet. These can be fed daily mixed in meals or as a treat. Keep treats and extras to 15% or lower, of overall calories.

Brussels Sprouts have an impressive antioxidant content and the added fiber has benefits for your dog’s gut health. Butternut squash is a good low-calorie source of potassium and beta carotene. Eggs are an inexpensive source of high biological protein.
